Color Line cuts departures between Oslo and Kiel

MS Color Fantasy remains docked until infection rates come down, and government-imposed regulations are eased.

From November 4th, a new timetable is effective for goods and passengers via MS Color Magic with stricter rules to prevent the spread of disease. Passengers will remain on board throughout the journey, and not be allowed to disembark in Kiel.

MS Color Fantasy is docked and connected to shore power in Revierkaia at Bjørvika from November 3rd.

Cargo traffic continues with Color Magic and the freight ship, MS Color Carrier between Oslo and Kiel, and MS SuperSpeed ​​1 and 2 between Hirtshals, Larvik and, Kristiansand.

Authorities indicate it will take some time before sailings return to normal due to national and international restrictions to control the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

Employees Laid Off 

- Reduction of capacity is unfortunately once again necessary, and it’s crucial the government offer economic assistance both this fall and next year, says Color Line CEO, Trond Kleivdal.

- Taking Color Fantasy out of service, will unfortunately, mean that another 400 employees are laid off, says Klevdal.
